Bodyworks is owned and operated by makeup artist, Emily Connors. An Emmy Award winning, makeup artist she began her career in New York City, working for TV, news and soaps, multi-media and fashion and beauty photography. She became a member of local 798, as a union makeup artist at the age of 19, over 20 years ago. Emily has put together a dynamite team of artists who will collaborate to make you look fabulous on your special occasion and in your photos. Emily calls her business Bodyworks because the team does work all over the body, from the hair on the head to the tip of the toes. Providing excellent client customer service and competitive prices, Bodyworks will work with you to meet your individual needs and budget.
In addition to providing professional makeup artistry, Bodyworks offers hair styling, airbrush body paint, temporary airbrush tattoos, and photography.
We use state-of-the art makeup and airbrush products from Temptu, the industry leader for temporary tattoos, and for airbrush, beauty and theatrical makeup for the face and body. You may choose either conventional or airbrush applications. Unwanted scars, tattoos, bruises, blemishes and birthmarks can be covered with an airbrush application. For both conventional and airbrush application, the makeup we use is smudge-proof and will not come off on your clothing. Hair and makeup consultations are offered in advance of events, to ensure that you get the look you want on your special occasion, whether it is a party, wedding, special event or a Bar or Bat Mitzvah. Our prices are competitive and we will work with you to meet your budget requirements. Per person, half-days, and whole-day rates are available in addition to "package" rates.
